Modeling an N&W (or NS) High Hood SD40-2 Step 025 - The Final Chapter |
The unit has been completely weathered to
represent one of N&W's finest locomotives as it would have appeared in the
middle eighties as a coal hauler for one of the largest coal hauling railroads
in the entire country. I've done what I can to make the model look used
and not overly abused by applying the colors of weathering that would be found
on a unit such as this while in coal service. I love black locomotives and the
way they look when weathered and even a black unit that's not so well done can
still draw an extra look or two when weathering and distressing has been
applied.
