NS 625 was being assembled in the Smith
Shop
This slug is in the early stages
of assembly. The large steel box that has been attached to the top
of
the frame will be filled with concrete for additional weight, since the
slug does not have an engine or
generator. The fuel tank under the frame has been sealed and is
also ballasted for additional weight.
The total weight of a finished RP-M4C Slug is 268,000 pounds.
